Who it fits
Good fit for
These headphones suit travelers and commuters who need long battery life and effective noise isolation. The 70-hour battery and fast charging are ideal for long trips. The Hybrid ANC helps you focus in noisy environments like offices or planes. The foldable design and included 3.5mm cable add convenience for on-the-go use. If you want reliable wireless audio with wired backup options, this model fits your needs well.
Who should skip it
You might want to look elsewhere if you prioritize premium build materials or advanced app features. The data does not mention a companion app for equalizer customization or firmware updates. The plastic construction may not feel as durable as higher-end metal alternatives. Also, if you need spatial audio or lossless codec support, this model lacks those specific high-fidelity features. Verdict: The BERIBES Foldable Hybrid ANC Over-Ear Headphones offer strong battery life and effective noise cancellation for everyday use. They are a practical choice for commuters and travelers who value longevity and simplicity.
Key specs explained
Driver Size: 40 mm
This is the diameter of the speaker unit inside the ear cup. A 40 mm driver is standard for over-ear headphones and helps produce a full range of frequencies. You will likely notice deeper bass and clearer vocals compared to smaller in-ear drivers. This size balances portability with sound richness, making it suitable for music lovers who want immersive audio without needing bulky studio monitors.
Battery Life: Up to 70 hours (45 hours ANC)
The headphones offer extended listening time depending on your settings. You get 70 hours in standard mode, which turns off noise cancellation. With Hybrid ANC enabled, the battery lasts up to 45 hours. This longevity reduces charging frequency, ideal for long trips or daily commutes. You can also gain four hours of playtime with just a five-minute fast charge via USB-C.
Connectivity: Bluetooth 6.0, 3.5 mm, USB-C
These headphones provide versatile connection options. Bluetooth 6.0 allows wireless pairing with your devices, offering convenience and mobility. The 3.5 mm jack serves as a backup for wired listening when the battery dies or for devices without Bluetooth. USB-C is used for charging the internal battery. This combination ensures you can listen anywhere, regardless of your device's capabilities or power status.
Noise Cancellation: Hybrid ANC, Transparent Mode
Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling uses microphones to detect and block ambient noise, claiming to silence up to 95% of machine noise. This helps you focus in loud environments like offices or planes. Transparent Mode works in reverse, letting outside sounds in so you can hear announcements or conversations without removing the headphones. You can switch between these modes easily using the sensitive buttons on the ear cup.
Weight: 11.7 ounces
At 11.7 ounces, these headphones are relatively lightweight for an over-ear model. This weight distribution helps reduce fatigue during long listening sessions. The ergonomic design includes protein ear-pads and an adjustable headband to ensure a comfortable fit. You can wear them for hours without significant discomfort, making them a practical choice for travelers, commuters, or anyone needing all-day audio support.
Design and Build Quality
According to the listing, the BERIBES Foldable Hybrid ANC Over-Ear Headphones feature a lightweight, ergonomic design. The ear cups rotate inward by ninety degrees and fold at a one hundred twenty-degree angle. This unique folding mechanism allows the headphones to compact down for easy storage during travel. The headband is multi-level adjustable, ensuring a secure fit for various head sizes. You can choose from five color options, including black, blue, silver, beige, and rose gold.
The ear pads are made of professional-grade protein leather. This material provides a soft touch against your skin, which helps maintain comfort during long listening sessions. The total weight is listed as 11.7 ounces or 0.8 pounds. This low mass reduces pressure on the top of your head, making the headphones suitable for extended wear without causing fatigue.
The finish is available in several matte colors, giving the device a clean, modern appearance. The layout includes sensitive buttons for switching between noise cancellation modes. These physical controls are easy to locate and operate without looking. The foldable structure and durable materials suggest the headphones are built to withstand regular transport. You can rely on the sturdy hinges and padded headband for daily commuting or office use.
Setup and Everyday Use Guide
Setting up the BERIBES Foldable Hybrid ANC Over-Ear Headphones is straightforward. The package includes a USB-C charging cable and a 3.5 mm backup audio cable. You charge the device via the USB-C port. The listing notes a fast charging feature: a five-minute charge provides four hours of listening time. This is useful if you forget to charge them overnight. The headphones support Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless connectivity. They also offer a wired connection option using the included 3.5 mm cable. This dual connectivity ensures you can use them with devices that lack Bluetooth or when you want to save battery. Daily use involves managing the noise cancellation modes. You can switch between Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling and Transparent Mode using the buttons. The ANC mode silences up to 95% of machine noise. The Transparent Mode lets in ambient sound, which helps you hear announcements on public transit. Battery life varies based on your settings. You get up to 45 hours of playtime with ANC enabled. In standard mode, the battery lasts up to 70 hours. The listing advises turning off ANC if you are not using Bluetooth mode to conserve power. The headphones weigh 11.7 ounces. The protein ear pads and adjustable headband aim to provide comfort during long listening sessions. The foldable design allows for compact storage in a bag or case.
Before You Buy
These BERIBES headphones are a solid choice for travelers and commuters who need long battery life and effective noise isolation. The hybrid ANC blocks up to ninety-five percent of machine noise, which is useful on planes or trains. However, you should check if your devices support Bluetooth 6.0 for the best wireless connection. While the 3.5 mm cable offers a wired backup, ensure you have the right adapter if your laptop lacks a headphone jack.
Care is simple. Wipe the protein ear pads with a dry cloth to remove sweat and oils. Store the folded headphones in a protective case to prevent dust accumulation in the folding joints. Compared to other options in Headphones & Earbuds, these prioritize endurance and comfort over premium materials. They fit well if you wear glasses or need all-day wear. Just remember to turn off ANC when not using Bluetooth to save power.
Check before you buy
- Confirm your devices support Bluetooth 6.0 for stable pairing.
- Check if your audio sources have a 3.5 mm jack for wired use.
- Ensure you have space to store the folded headphones safely.
- Verify the ear pad material suits your skin sensitivity.
