Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider these earbuds if you need to stay aware of your surroundings. The open-ear design is ideal for urban commuting or outdoor activities. The four adjustable positions help you find a secure fit for your ear shape. If you value clear calls during walks or runs, the four-mic setup with AI enhancement is useful. The customizable lights also appeal to users who want visual feedback that matches their music. This setup suits active listeners who prioritize safety and comfort over isolation.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you need active noise cancellation. The open-ear design does not block out external noise. You will hear traffic, conversations, and other environmental sounds. If you prefer a deep, sealed-in bass experience, the open design may feel less impactful. The lack of ear tips means you cannot customize the seal. This product is not for users who want to completely disconnect from their environment while listening to music.
Verdict: The Soundcore V20i offers a secure, open-ear fit with strong bass drivers for situational awareness. It is best for active users who need to stay connected to their surroundings.
Key specs explained
Driver Size: 16mm
This measurement describes the diameter of the speaker unit inside each earbud. A 16mm driver is a standard size for true wireless earbuds, capable of producing clear audio and noticeable bass. You will get a balanced sound profile suitable for music and podcasts. When shopping, compare this with earbuds that use smaller 6mm or 10mm drivers, which may lack depth, or larger units that might compromise fit.
Form Factor: Open-ear
This design keeps your ear canal open rather than sealing it like traditional in-ear buds. You remain aware of your surroundings, which is ideal for running or commuting. It reduces ear fatigue during long sessions. Compare this with closed-back or in-ear designs that block outside noise. If you need isolation for loud environments, open-ear may not provide enough passive noise cancellation.
Connectivity: Bluetooth, True Wireless
These earbuds connect to your phone or device via Bluetooth without any physical wires between the left and right units. You enjoy freedom of movement without cable drag. True wireless means each bud operates independently, simplifying pairing. When comparing, check the Bluetooth version number; newer versions offer more stable connections and lower latency for video watching.
Audio Features: Spatial Audio
This feature creates a surround sound effect, placing audio around you rather than just in front. It makes movies and games feel more immersive. You get a wider soundstage that mimics listening to speakers. Compare this with standard stereo, which keeps sound strictly in the left and right channels. Spatial audio adds depth to compatible content on supported devices.

You can personalize these lights through the soundcore app. The app also provides software updates and EQ modes. The physical design prioritizes comfort and situational awareness. The standard size fits most users without modification. The listed dimensions suggest a compact profile for easy portability. You should check the fit in person if possible. Setup and daily use guide
You connect the Soundcore V20i Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds to your device via Bluetooth. The listing confirms True Wireless connectivity, meaning each earbud links independently to your phone, tablet, or computer without a physical cable. You do not need a wired connection for audio playback. To manage software and audio settings, you download the soundcore app. This app provides OTA firmware updates, which keep the earbuds current with the latest features. It also allows you to access HearID, EQ modes, and Spatial Audio. Spatial Audio is listed as an audio feature, which implies the earbuds process sound to create a wider, more immersive soundscape. For calls, the earbuds use four microphones. An AI enhancement algorithm processes the audio from these mics to reduce background noise, aiming for clearer voice transmission during phone conversations. The open-ear design means you can rotate the earbuds to four adjustable positions. This mechanical adjustment helps you find a secure fit without inserting tips into your ear canal. You can wear them for extended periods because the design does not block your ear canal. The customizable lights sync with music, adding visual feedback during use. You can pair these earbuds with any Bluetooth-enabled device. The app support ensures you can personalize your listening experience through software adjustments rather than hardware changes alone.
Before You Buy V20i Earbuds
These open-ear earbuds sit uniquely in the Soundcore lineup. They prioritize situational awareness over isolation. You should verify your device supports the soundcore app for HearID and EQ adjustments. Without the app, you lose access to spatial audio and firmware updates. The open design means ambient noise enters your ears. This suits runners and commuters who need to hear traffic. It may frustrate those seeking quiet in noisy offices. The four adjustable positions help you find a secure fit, but you must test them carefully. The titanium-coated 16mm drivers deliver bass, but you will not get the deep seal of in-ear models. Consider the V20i if you value comfort and safety. Skip it if you need active noise cancellation. The customizable lights add style but drain battery. Keep the charging case clean to ensure reliable connections. Check color options like White or Blue if Black does not suit your taste. These earbuds are a specific choice for specific needs.
